At our Spring Luncheon, Chief Justice Rabner joked that he spends 65% of his time judging cases and 65% doing administrative work. The administrative side of the court system is a critical, yet often-overlooked aspect of our legal system. How the courts function have a significant impact on the nature and quality of the decisions they make.

The Supreme Court announced it has reconstituted the following rules and programs/jury charge committees for the 2014-2016 committee term:

  • Arbitration Advisory Committee
  • Civil Practice Committee
  • Committee on Judicial Salaries and Pensions
  • Committee on Jury Selection in Civil and Criminal Trials
  • Committee on Model Civil Jury Charges
  • Special Civil Part Practice Committee
  • Committee on the Tax Court
  • Committee on Women in the Courts
