You may recall former N.J. Supreme Court Justice Roberto-Rivera Soto as the justice who declined to seek renomination to the State’s highest court back in 2011, just as the current high court standoff began to unfold.
Rivera-Soto, who is now in private practice, was the keynote speaker at NJLRA’s annual Fall Membership luncheon. He offered his insight about the current vacancies on the Court, criticism of the political structure which led to said vacancies, and praise for his former colleagues.
